Emerging Baseball Star Semifinalist for the 87th AAU Sullivan Award Presented by Eastbay

Kyle Lewis is not only the most-decorated student athlete in Mercer University history, but he may very well be one of the most-decorated athletes in college baseball history. In 2016 alone, the star outfielder brought home 28 (yes, 28!) different awards, including College Baseball’s highest honor, the Golden Spikes Award. In addition, Lewis was a First Team All-American and a Defensive Gold Glove Winner, and was ultimately selected with the 11th overall pick in June’s Major League Baseball Draft by the Seattle Mariners.

Following an incredible 2016 season in which he hit 20 home runs and connected for 72 RBIs, Lewis is now in contention for award number 29, the prestigious AAU Sullivan Award, which, since 1930, has annually honored the outstanding amateur athlete in the United States. Voting for the AAU Sullivan award is currently in the semifinalist round and can be accessed here: www.bit.ly/AAUSullivanAward. Please note that voting for this round closes at 11:59pm on Monday, March 13th, so be sure to cast your vote for Kyle Lewis soon. And then stay tuned for final round voting, which will determine the 2017 AAU Sullivan Award winner.
